Holocaust Memorial Day

Was celebrated quietly in Stamford Hill today.
Even the Kosher supermarket was open.
I did see in the news that Cameron wants to commission a statue to recognise the holocaust in westminster, so that people never forget. Bit like the Kindertransport statue at Liverpool St.
What do you think we should do in remembrance? Or should we do anything, in case it offends anybody?

You also appear to be confusing the usual left wing in-fighting, in this case between the KPD (Communists), ISPD (erm... different Communists) and SPD (Socialists) with some sort of support for Hitler.

You should have spent your time reading several books, rather than one big fat one which is something of a hobby-horse written by a very old man.
Overy and Kershaw are petty good, but you could do worse than the Adolf Hitler entry in Wikipedia.

My main source of knowledge about this is: Hitler and Stalin: Parallel lives. I honestly don't know if this is considered a mainstream history book or not. If it's not, and you have read better books about the rise of the Nationalist Socialists, then please let me know.
It's a really interesting subject and I'd appreciate being better read about it.

Really? I've read in some pretty ordinary and mainstream books that Stalin, and the Russian Communists, specifically ordered Communists in Germany not to cooperate with German Socialists to stop the Nationalist Socialists from being elected. In many areas of Germany, I've read, Communists worked hand in hand with Nationalist Socialists. I've read that Stalin was totally against the Socialists of Germany and did everything he could to thwart them.
The mainstream opinion is that had the German left presented a unified front the Nationalist Socialists would never have taken power.
I genuinely don't give a shit if this is true, or not, and if you could point me in the direction of some books that counter this mainstream view of history I'd love to read them.

I'm British and proud, But I know a decent nation making a postivie contribution to the world (science, technology, medicine) to name only a few when I come across one from a nation of people with no interest in anything other than blowing themselves up and teaching their children their own terrorists ways.
